What Makeup Line Is Best?

What, not all too expensive, makeup line is the best? i want to try out different ones but i dont want to waste my money on things that are bad for my skin. (i have normal, not too oily, and not too dry skin) What Makeup Line Is Best?
We've all been there, we've all done it, we've all asked the same questions! Come on, you know exactly what I'm talking about! We've all had the sudden urge one day to get to the mall, run to the cosmetics counter completely determined to find the right cosmetics line for us. We let them apply makeup to our faces while running the risk of looking like clowns just for the sake of making us more beautiful. And we've all gone home, empty handed, more confused than ever and with a face full of makeup we just couldn't stand!

So really, how the heck do you go about figuring out just which one is the one for you? Answer: bring a girlfriend. You need someone that will say ';no'; when you get hit with the sales pitch and someone that will be completely honest with you once you've had your millioneth makeover.

Before you head to the counters, think about the look or looks you are trying to acheive. Do you want cosmetics that you could wear on a daily basis? for when you're at work? for a night out? for a special occasion? What about colours? How much cosmetics do you plan on wearing? Are you looking for foundation only, or do you want more? Also take into consideration your age; some cosmetics are targeted specifically for mature skin and others for younger skin. What about price point? How much do you have to spend? What are you willing to spend? When you have the answer to all of your questions, grab your best friend and go shopping!

Once at the counters, do a walk around. Look to see which counter has the colours you want, which counters are geared towards your age and of course, those that are in your price point. When you find the counter(s) that are best suited for your wants and needs, use your hands. You need to feel the product. Put some product on the back of your hands first. Does it feel smooth?, silky?, powdery?, dry?, oily?, heavy? Do the colours stay true? That is, do they look the same on your skin as they do in their packaging? All of these things will help you to narrow down your search for the right cosmetics line for you.

Lastly, you'll want a demo. You really do need to see what these products feel like on your face. Don't be in such a hurry to buy everything that they've demo'd on you. You don't have to buy anything right away, feel free to go shopping for a couple of hours or even go home and see how the products feel on your face and how they wear over a period of time. After your little ';test drive';, then you can go back and decide which products you'll actually purchase.

One last note, you don't have to stick with just one cosmetics line either! I'll fill you in on a little secret: your base (foundation and powder or just duo powder) are the most important products in your makeup bag. Why? They're the ones that will create that even, perfect canvas for you to start applying your makeup. Having said that, if you like eyeshadows from one cosmetics line but the lipsticks are better over there, then go for it!

Physiciains Formula is not bad for your skin. There arent any ingredients in these cosmetics that are bad.

It was created by a doctor because his wife was allergic to most of the ingredients in makeup.

I have very sensitive skin %26amp; break out %26amp; get itchy %26amp; burny when use other mineral makeups. Its probably because there is bismuth in it. My youngers sisters use Physicians Formula %26amp; theyve never had any problems either.

Anyway, its not expensive %26amp; you can buy it in drug stores like CVS or Riteaid or other stores like Target. Check PF webpage to read all about it.

Moisturize your face before you apply it~ that adds a good base so mineral stick to your face. Dont apply much either or its look caked on. Just add a bit %26amp; then add a bit more if you want more coverage.
Bare Escentuals is best for your skin because it's natural and doesn't have chemicals. I love everything in their line. QVC has specials (Todays Special Vaalue) on their kits several times a year. They usually run $40-$50 for a kit with about 10-12 items. (except the one in Feb. It has tan items) A jar of foundation lasts me over a year. A jar (size 0.03 oz.) of blush takes over 5 years when used every day. A lot of the kits have the small jars (0.02 oz.) of blush. So you can get a kit or two and get different blushes and shadows. They always have brushes in their kits. I am using the brushes from my original kit from 8 years ago and they are still great. I do buy lip products from other lines when I see something I like. But the lip products from Bare Escentuals are awesome. I just run out of them before I do anything else.

i heard mac is really good for non oily skin :)

But like someone before me said, it really matters what looks good on you. I have oily skin and mac doesn't really look good on me. So it really depends on your skin :)
Mac Cosmetics is truly amazing. A little on the expensive side, but not too too bad.

An awesome drugstore brand is L'Oreal. Also, Revlon is pretty good too.
MAC definetly. BTW no good makeup line is cheep but MAC is the closest to cheep and their stuff lasts forever..

Whatever looks good on you...it is not how much it costs but if it looks good.
