Do cruise lines/ships hire makeup artists?

I was wondering if anyone knows if cruise lines hire makeup artists to do makeup for their on board shows/events?Do cruise lines/ships hire makeup artists?
I would imagine they do. The spa and beauty salon's would also have this need. I was on a Princess cruise once and one of the ';daytime activities'; was a make-up demo. So, I'd say check it out! Good luck! :)Do cruise lines/ships hire makeup artists?
I am almost positive they have to.
Every cruise line has shows, usually production type shows with costumes and sets. Its for sure that the performers come out with makeup on so the probability is that they do have a person to do that. However, that person may also double as a makeup person in the ship's spa since many cruise line employees generally do double duty (i.e., perform more than just one task).





I suggest that you go to the cruise line web sites, click on employment/human resources/jobs, or whatever is there, and see what they have to offer, and/or get some phone numbers to call for a more definitive answer.

The dancers etc all do their own make up for the shows. The spa personelle all are hired to do either massage, beauty ie facials etc, hairdressers or fitness. The spa don't hire make up artists, they generally have to be certified in beauty therapy too. Try www,steinerleisure.com. good luck
