What do I need to study to have my own line of makeup?

I'm currently a freshman in high school, thinking ahead about college. My dream job is to be a makeup artist with a line of makeup. I am wondering how I can prepare for the future. (Hey, it's better to start early!)





What should my major be in college in order to know about how to make makeup? Does not testing on animals and having natural ingredients impact what I study at all?

I would think you would need to study chemistry or biochemistry. Also, business courses would be a big plus if you planned to have your own business.
